Swedish Pinball Open
Yet Another World Pinball Championships
Swedish Pinball Open is the successor of the annual international pinball tournament Stockholm Open. Due to the quite similar name as the tennis tournament "If Stockholm Open", and due to the fact that the tournament will not take place in Stockholm this year, we have changed the name. This year, the tournament will take place the week before the IFPA World Pinball Championships, at the very same venue and on the very same machines. Elite players from all around the world mix with casual players from Sweden and other countries to compete and socialize for several days, until the Swedish Pinball Open Yet Another World Champion is crowned.
Jorian Engelbrektsson - Winner 2014
The tournament is open to anyone who wishes to attend, and there are no special requirements for skill or citizenship to participate.
The Swedish Pinball Open 2015 will be held at PinballsEye in Borås, in western Sweden, on May 15-17. Click the red drop on the map to get address info.
The Stockholm Open started in 2004, and was an immediate success. It grew to be one of the six major pinball tournaments in the world, with participants from many different countries on several continents. In 2009 the tournament took a pause due to lack of locations to host the event. Thanks to Heron City and O'Learys, it was reopened in 2013 with an A division, a split flipper division, a classics division and some mini-tournaments. The classics division is usually played on games manufactured 1985 or earlier. The A division and classics division participants receives WPPR points.
